BETTER is a charity focused on bringing education to East Timor. Their aim is to provide access
to education to everyone in Timor, since 50% of the local population are 19 years and younger,
but because of having no access to adequate education, they are unable to acquire knowledge,
skills and tools to improve their quality of life, resulting in a continual decline in the country’s
economic sustainability. BETTER aims to provide education to people of Timor that will open up
pathways to improve their future, discover new perspectives and the way out of poverty
